JBLS Morocco Trip July 2019

A group of 22 JBLS 9th JD members toured Morocco for 11 days earlier this month.  It was simply a fabulous experience. It was our fourth international tour in five years and we intend to explore other world regions with a “Jewish" connection in the future.

Travelers on our tour to Morocco were not disappointed. It was exciting, fascinating, educational and a fun journey.  We visited countless sites beginning in Casablanca then, inter alia, Fez, where we camped overnight deep in the Sahara, hiked the High Atlas Mountains, toured Marakesh and were hosted by Berber families throughout our journey.   Our national tour guide was with us every step of the way and was exceptional!  Our chosen Moroccan tour agency, as well as all accommodations, were consistently top of the line! 

We welcome all to join us in future travels.  A second trip to Morocco by other JBLS groups could also be arranged in future if there is interest.  The agency we used specializes in small groups - again with some emphasis on significant Jewish history in Morocco. 

Following this summer, we will schedule an event for all JBLS members to attend to enjoy photos and videos of this extraordinary journey!  Hopefully you will be able to join us.
